We're finally into the cooler weather and I want to share some GREAT autumnal activities with y'all. Some are family friendly, others are just for the young at heart, and ALL look like a they're going to be a blast.
Light the Nations
Saturday, October 20 | 4pm-10pm | FREE
This west-side event highlights local businesses, art, and vendors. There will be a kids’ area, dog park, food trucks, and live music.
Bands will include Forest Fire Gospel Choir, Flying Buffaloes, Temple Wildlife, and many other local favorites.
Centennial Craft Fest
Saturday, October 20 | 2pm-4pm | FREE
Attendees can expect food vendors, an Oktoberfest pub area, over 30 local artisans, live music, and kids’ activities including mini pumpkin painting, corn play box, leaf art group project, pretend archaeology bone dig, lawn games and face painting from 2 - 4 PM.
Pumpkinfest in Franklin
Saturday, October 27 | 10am-6pm | FREE
With over 65,000 people in attendance, the festival stretches along Main Street and its side avenues in downtown Franklin and offers tons of festive fun for people of all ages! You'll find costume contests and kid's areas along with food and drink vendors, artisans, and live music.
Symphony Free Day of Music
Saturday, October 27 | 11am-9pm | FREE
The Nashville Symphony's 13th annual Free Day of Music will be at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The symphony will kick off the day with a full orchestra concert in the Laura Turner Concert Hall at 11 a.m., followed by free performances until 9 p.m. There will be 25 performers (everything from classical to rock and country) on four stages inside and outside the center. There will also be a Q&A with the symphony conductors, family activities, the popular Instrument Petting Zoo, an outdoor beer garden and food.
Nashvember
Saturday, November 10 | 11am-5pm | FREE
Project 615’s Nashvember will be held at Track One, located just south of downtown at 1211 4th Ave South, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. There will be dozens of local vendors, live music, and food trucks. This event is family-friendly and FREE to attend.
Veterans Day Parade
Saturday, November 12 | 11am | FREE
The parade will make its way along Broadway from 14th Avenue to Third Avenue in downtown Nashville with veterans from every branch of the military participating, from World War II to Afghanistan and Iraq.
